How did it get to December already? Probably you’re putting the finishing touches to your Christmas marketing plans, but have you thought about 2020 yet? And if you reflect on the past year, have you taken time out to work on you and your business?
Creating a vision that works
We all need to have a direction. To know where we’re heading. And to understand what we need to do in order to achieve it. But often we can get caught up in the minutiae of running our businesses on a day to day basis. Invoices need paying, sales prospects need chasing, and so on. And that’s totally understandable.
But if we don’t take time out to capture our vision and to set ourselves some goals to support it, how do we know where we’re trying to get to? And actually, how do we know when we’ve arrived?
This time is a great time of year to plan for the future, and set in place goals to help you get there. But it’s not enough just to think about them. As this article explains – the key is actually in writing them down, and thus committing to them.
It’s about You too
And vision-building and goal-setting shouldn’t just relate to your business aspirations, either. Alongside this, we as entrepreneurs should also be thinking about ourselves as business owners.
Why? Well, as you know, the foundation of our approach at We Are Tabono is the wellbeing of the entrepreneur. By looking after yourself, you are laying strong foundations upon which your business will be built. And if those foundations start to crack, then your business will suffer.
We all need time to recognise and work towards our personal goals and aspirations as well as our business ones, and in allowing ourselves to do so, share the benefits that are created with our businesses.
So what are you going to do about both of the points above? Well, grab your diary, and schedule in that crucial time away from your business, and commit to spending some time working on it, rather than in it.
And if you’re in the Berkshire/Oxfordshire/Buckinghamshire area, why not come along to our You and Your Business event on 26th November? You will be able to spend the day working on both your business and yourself, and you’ll even get some expert input on personal branding thrown in!
