What is Tabono?
Based in Maidenhead, Tabono was created through combining the passion and expertise of Chloe Leibowitz, a life coach specialising in female entrepreneurship; and Anna Verghese, a business growth and social media consultant. Having both been each other’s client, Chloe and Anna became friends, and decided to work together – and Tabono was born in November 2018.
The word ‘Tabono’ itself means ‘oar’ or ‘paddle’ in the Adinkra language of West Africa, while the symbol itself represents unity of purpose, strength, confidence and hard work. All of which are vital attributes for women in business.
We Are Tabono
Both Chloe and Anna know what it’s like to juggle family and work commitments. They how it feels to work on your own day after day – the responsibility for your business lying squarely on your own shoulders. They’ve been there and experienced the roller-coaster that is running small business, first hand.
Together, Chloe and Anna wanted to create a place where women in business could be their authentic selves, – breaking down barriers, growing their confidence and building their businesses.
Through Tabono, we provide a safe space for women to ask questions and seek support when they need it, along with opportunities to learn and develop. Through our community and our 2-to-1 business coaching, we hold clients accountable for their decisions and their actions. We challenge them to push themselves further. At our events, we bring people together, make introductions and encourage mutual support.
We Are Tabono – and if you’re a woman in business – from Maidenhead to the rest of the world, we would love you to join us.
